The stewards at the Crewe game yesterday seemed determined this year to stop the traditional pitch invasion for the last home game of the regular season. While I don't condone the pitch invasion, the tactics of the stewards, (especially the extra agency one's drafted in), seemed to be extremely aggressive and severe. While I personally didn't see the fan who had his head stamped on, (as reported on radio Leeds), I did witness three stewards kneeling on one fans limbs while one of them repeatedly punched him, and also I saw another steward kicking another fan up the arse! Here's some poor quality pics I took with my phone: ![](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j12/radebehero/Picture3.jpg) ![](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j12/radebehero/Picture2.jpg) ![](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j12/radebehero/Picture1.jpg)

Lol yeah, there were loads of them all looking like bald bouncers in cheap suits. One of them did manage to almost catch a fan running across the pitch in a rubgy tackle. He didn't manage to hold on but sent the guy flying in a somersault. Must have hurt, but funny to see. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

To be honest what happened after the match was a lot more entertaining to watch than the 90 minutes that preceded it. Thankfully, we got the win, but the game was terrible, (reminded me of the Rotherham game last home game of last season).
The Tenors at half time weren't half bad though, I liked their version of Nessen Dorma! (can't be arsed to find out the correct spelling)

All looks reasonably calm to me It wasn't a riot if that's what you meant, it really wasn't that big a deal. However, the reason I started this thread was because I was cheesed off that some of the stewards were looking to make trouble. In the video, about 20 seconds in, you can see one of the stewards walk towards the stand and land some punches on a fan that wasn't even infringing on the pitch!

Thats out of order. By why did everyone just stay standing in the ground for so long, nothing was happening

Thats out of order. By why did everyone just stay standing in the ground for so long, nothing was happening The fans stayed in the ground because with it being the last home game of the season (exlcluding playoffs) the players were due to come back on the pitch to thank the fans for the support all season.

Yes, eventually... once all the fans were off the pitch.
