pardon??? ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Is the 2nd one the first Leeds United one? Well the first one is obviously the Leeds City one because it was 97 years ago...Leeds United only formed in 1919. But I have since found out ( ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ) that the first one was used until the mid 60's

ive always liked the third from last one - the flower is tudor times thing aint it? got history with yorkshire, and its just the nicest in my eyes... wasnt that what you had while in the premiership too? The flower is a white rose. The White Rose is the symbol of the House of York and has been associated with the entire country of Yorkshire for many hundreds of years. I'm not sure when the white rose was adopted but I think it was in use in the 14th century, (long before the Tudors!). The War of the Roses between Yorkshire and Lancashire, (House of Lancaster symbol being a red rose) was fought during the 15th cenutury, but I don't think the conflict referenced the roses at the time. One of the reasons why our main traditional rivals is Man U perhaps ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) The war of the roses was won by the tudors so its something to do with tradition in yorkshire!
