Looks like Blackie realises our existing strikers having been taking their chances. Seems strange though bearing in mind Beckford seems to be getting a chance already. I'm not convinced Danny Graham would be the man to rejuventate our strike force though. He's made 14 appearances while on loan at Derby and not scored a single goal. Hmm ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

Well I spose end of the season there's not too much he can do in terms of bringing in new players that'll go straight in the team which'd disrupt the other players but Graham'll be warming the bench, just like Beckford and Moore..and Healy..

Here's some more background to Danny Graham from footymad...
Kevin Blackwell has added Middlesbrough's Danny Graham to his squad on a month's loan, while Rui Marques joins Hull, also on loan.
Gateshead-born Graham, 20, will be at Elland Road until April 22 and has joined a forward line that has also recently acquired Jermaine Beckford from Wealdstone. The striker's loan could be extended to include the play-offs if required.
Graham started his career with Chester-le-Street Town in the Northern League and Boro signed him up in 2003 as a 17-year-old. The England U-20 striker scored an amazing 21 goals in only 20 outings for the Boro U-19 side in his first season. He then spent a successful loan period with Darlington where he scored his first league goal.
The former Newcastle trainee made his Boro debut as a substitute against Man Utd at Old Trafford in Oct 2004 and he scored his first Boro goal last season against Coventry in the Carling Cup. He netted his first Premiership goal with a header for Boro against Charlton Athletic, also last season.
Graham has also spent time on loan earlier this season with Derby County, featuring 14 times and also played earlier this season for Boro in their 2-1 win over Arsenal.
Meanwhile, reserve defender Rui Marques, 28, has joined Hull City on loan until the end of the season with Leeds inserting a clause in the deal stating that the Angolan international will not be allowed to play against them when the two sides meet at the KC Stadium on Saturday, April 1.
He has made only one appearance for Leeds since joining from Portuguese side Maritimo in July 2005.

Seem very odd decision by Blackwell! I'd have thought that defensive cover would be the priority. Unless Killa's almost fully match fit, Greegs available and his crystal ball is showing KB that'll not pick up any more injuries between now and the end of the season!

Unless Killa's almost fully match fit, Greegs available and his crystal ball is showing KB that'll not pick up any more injuries between now and the end of the season! Well Gregan's now served his 2 match ban, and Richardson is now fit again, (as is Harding who also played last night), so we have cover for every defensive position again. With Griffiths finally match fit, (and scoring against Man City last night) we should have a little more flexibility in midfield. Still don't understnad the need for another striker though, the squad is pretty much covered in every area at the moment.

We could do with some extra options in midfield.. Something...different. Too often players 'go missing' and we're completely exposed.

Unless it is purley just a reminder to the other strikers that their place in the team / bench is not guaranteed. It may be that they're a different style striker - giving maybe some different attacking options.

Yeh but we've got *that* many strikers, surely we have most of the different styles there are! ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png)

Lol..probably trying to out do him.
Mind games maybe..although, according to Colin, no one in this league is good enough to play mind games..

I dont see the logic.....not after we just got Beckford too........unless he is thinking of playing someone out of position (blake/healy) for the remainder of the season. 0 goals at derby.....says it all! ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png)
