I have a feeling that Saints will draw and Fester will lose. When i say 'a feeling' it may have been a really funny dream - i'm not sure. ;D Haha! ;D I see it was the usual day at the office down at Pride Park tonight.

Geo I like you but your signature is making me want to harm you in some way! ;D I think Southampton might struggle. United want the points to try and get into the play off's. Yes it's a slim chance but they're playing well at the moment *takes scourer to skin for even talking like that* ;D I really am offending some people with this! Sorry! I'd best be careful or I'll get banned or slapped with a warning or something. Hopefully! And Stoke only need 1 point, and Pulis isn't the most positive of managers. It may be that proves to be enough for us. Wasn't sure what to make of saints tonight. They looked up for it and closed down West Brom really well, making it difficult for them. But didn't have much conviction in the final third and WBA actually had quite a few chances, with some dodgy finishing. We went to the Britannia and beat them 4-2 and we can barely hit a donkeys arse with a banjo (except against you)

I remember the feud between Pompey and Fox fans on 606 that season. Look at the two clubs now. Mind you I think Pompey's bubble could burst quite easily.

They were going to build that enormodrome in the sea or something. I thought the plans made it look a bit like a big potty or urinal though.

LeicesterLass, and Bob tooo.... Careful Morton. What goes around nearly always comes around. Well it does if you're us, and I'm not convinced that the footballing gods have finished with us yet. I'm just glad that we got rid of Robson when we did, or it would probably have been us instead of Leicester.

Don't worry AB, he's not mocking the relegation, this thread goes back weeks, when we lost to you in the league. Mort...our admin, like them all, was very complex...we could go into it in depth but its long in the past and I can't really be bothered and I'm sure you're saying it in jest anyway! Besides, a 10 point deduction for us still wouldn't have been enough to let you get automatic.

With regard to that game, I tend to agree with Holloway that you were on the end of a poor refereeing decision. I don't think it was a penalty. That decision had a big impact on the game as you went down to 10 men, and Beattie scored from the rebound. That said, there was still virtually the whole match for you to get back into it, and 10 men quite often do out perform 11 men. Recently we put on a terrific second half performance to beat Hull with 10 men. And a few seasons ago I remember us being 2-0 up at Ipswich with only 30 minutes to go against 10 men. Embarassingly, they proceeded to tear us apart and we lost 3-2.

A similar thing happened away at Ipswich (with the same player actually) and whilst bad refereeing decisions are tough to take, especially at the time, losing away to Sheffield United and away to Ipswich, even with poor refereeing are not the key results as to why we are where we are.

Probably not. But when you are really struggling, it seems uncanny how many things like that go against you.
And I do not subscribe to the view that things always even themselves out over a season. They don't. Not always, anyway!
