Relying on Southampton taking no more than one point now...
Pretty safe, I suspect.

I was too dejected tbh.
Absolutely gutted, albeit not surprised. A disgraceful performance from the players. In the last 6 home games, we have had 1 win and scored 3 goals. 4 of those 6 games were against the few teams who were below us in the league at the time. We deserve relegation. 124 years of history and we have never been in the third tier of English football...well in a week's time this team may well have been the worst ever to wear the Leicester shirt. I don't think most of them are that bothered - they'll either sod off somewhere else or stick to their huge league 1 salaries here.
A sell out yesterday, nearly 32,000 - the highest in the championship this season. We have the 3rd highest average, despite 5 years battling relegation. We, as fans, deserve better than this. The atmosphere was electric for the first half from all 4 sides of the ground - 3000 Wednesday fans were drowned out. The kop still stuck with the team until the third goal.
And then...'you're not fit to wear the shirt', '1-0 and we fucked it up' season ticket after season ticket being ripped up, or thrown towards the pitch, people crying, others looking completely shellchocked and devestated, arguments between our own supporters. A season's frustration coming out into a few minutes, and this is what our team has reduced the fans to. And then at the final whistle, all but 2 players (Clapham and Stearman) disappear sharpish...I hope this is the last time I see most of them in a Leicester shirt).
Holloway was utterly clueless yesterday. Hume, as ever, the only half-decent attacking player we have was causing Wednesday all sorts of problems in the first half. Got his goal, and Holloway shoves him on the left wing second half so he can have the proven failed partnership of Howard and Hayles up front. Clueless. Howard was utter shit and he didn't come off. Substitutions too late. we lost all shape and had no self-belief.
But perhaps, most of all, Wednesday never gave up, and wanted it more. Saving their penalty was a huge warning shot across the bows, but we threw it away, and maybe survival with it.
Henderson - 7 - no mans land for the 3rd goal. But saved the penalty which should have spurred our players on.
Stearman - 6 - clearly wanted it. Seemed to want to take Wednesday on on his own. Got forward well, but left the right side very exposed, which led to their 1st, and possibly third goals.
McAuley 5.5 - outwitted by Sheff's pacy strikers.
Kisnorbo - N/A - off injured early but clearly the foundation stone of our strong defence. Much missed when he was off.
Clapham 4 - utterly awful
Bell - 5.5 - good positional play - looked dangerous - but didn't cross when he had good opportunities to.
Weso - 7 - Took on the role Oakley should have. Tried to support the attack, nearly scored a good solo effort.
Oakley - 5.5 sub par again. OK he can pass, but sideways and backwards, that is it!
Hayles - 5 - started well. Completely ineffectual up front. SHoudl ahve come off earlier.
Howard 4 - shit Shit SHIT!! lazy Lazy LAZY!! I think Derby sold us a milk tanker not a footballer. But I don't want to do a dis-service to milk tankers - stick one in the box and I'm sure sooner or later something will bounce off it favourably. Missed a sitter (though I thought he was offside)
Hume - 7 - battled. Missed a penalty. But wanted it so much. Many players could learn from him. Scored the goal but as usual Ollie shoved him out of position in the 2nd half, taking away the danger
Subs:
n'Gotty - 5 weak link in defence Fryatt & Campbell - story of their season - did bugger all!
Can't blame Hume for missing the penalty, a huge pressure situation.
Southampton failing to get more than 1 point from 2 games is our only realistic hope now I feel. Its feasible and almost comforting to know I don't have to really rely on us. But its completely unacceptable this has what it has come to.
