I'm still extremely riled by yesterdays' result and performance and am not a happy fox.
How this can be broadly the same group of players that played such free flowing attacking football, and nearly beat Chelsea is beyond me. we've never scored a goal against Burnley at the Walkers Stadium and didn't look much like doing it either as our pathetic home form continues with ANOTHER home defeat.
What a sorry mess, the club needs a thorough shake out and hopefully the realms and realms of poor to mediocre to lazy dead wood will just fall out.
Milan must take some blame...easily the largest squad in the league, 15 odd new players and only 2 or 3 of them can make the first team.
Burrows too. I understand your frustrated...but really 5-3-2 at home is not fucking on! We need to set out to bloody win and we create bugger all like this. Stearman isn't a bloody wingback, play Chambers there! and boy did we miss Sheehan's crosses and corners yesterday, our ONLY creative outlet.
McAuley, Kis and N'Gotty probably are 3 of our best players but sacrifice 1, play 442 and we need some attacking and creative outlets in midfield. I know we are very short there but:
Kaebi (Iran international)
Ferreira (Portugal international)
Hellings (doing well in reserves)
Hayes (looked good preseason)
Djeziri (must be on loan for a reason!)
Are all players who can play midfield and offer something going forward. Now, they might not be good enough but how are we ever to know when not 1 of them can even get near the bloody bench. This season I have seen 5 mins from Kaebi v Watford and thats it. These were meant to be the players ot push us up the league. If they're not good enough for the bench WHY ARE THEY HERE!? 5-3-2 ok away )with proper wingbacks) but at home 4-4-2 please!
At least Milan recognises that repeats of this kind of performance really aren't good enough:
"Frustration is an understatement, I'm very unhappy and gutted with the way we played. I barely recognised our team. I'm dssappointed for our supporters who regardless of where we are still give us great support, 21000 fans, it's incredible. We should do better for them. On the other hand the only excuse I have for our players is the uncertainty regarding the managerial situation. It's been an unbelievable season, I dunno what the hell happened. If I look back nothing started right. We need to quickly sort this out, and be quickly I mean within the next week, the next 10 days. "
We need someone in ASAP to have the intl break to sort this rubbish out! Particularly because I am follishly going to Bristol City away!
