Yay!! A team that are worse than us! No, it was a much much improved performance today, particularly during the first half. Nice for Collins John to get an early goal in his time here too, should settle him in. Shame we got a bit complacent in the 2nd half but Barnsley were truly dire and we cruised to 3 points. MOTM - N'Gotty he looked really solid to me. I thought Sheehan had a very good game too. Wasn't exposed at the back and he really does have one hell of a sweet left foot! Newton was much improved from Tuesday too. Now clearly we'll continue this into an easy Carling Cup game at Stamford Bridge next week, because clearly Man City aren't up to much!

LOL! ;D It's a funny old game - one good match and all is right with the world again. Didn't go to the game myself today. I was so disgusted at the way we played the other night after freezing my balls off for an hour and a half, decided to sit this one out. But listening to it, sounds like a significantly better performance and some individuals (who will remain nameless) who have let us down recently really pulled it out the bag today. Three points, can't complain! Delighted for Collins John as well - that's what he was brought in for. We've generally been strong at the back but lacking the real firepower up front. If it carries on like this, give Burrows and Taggart the job permanently. 6-0 Chelsea today - Wednesday will be hilarious. I'll be at the game, back on form, and hopefully feeling slightly less like a brass monkey!!

Yeah I went today but aren't on Wednesday. I'll let you know if I regret it after the game! It'll probably be a cricket score! ;D It was a much better performance but not there for the full 90mins. But then as Burrows said, the players have had a tough week and they've done well. John looked delighted with his goal. He went off injured in the 2nd half though. Not sure on Burrows and Taggs long term (well without the support of someone more senior anyway) - but as they seem to be doing alright, if I were Milan I'd not rush into anything, and see how they get on.

He took his flat cap off for an interview with SSN and I was shocked he doesn't have very much hair at all! Nice bloke though, I hope he stays part of the setup...I don't think he's a desserter unlike somebody else!

I must say that I was moved when Mandaric was courting the sympathy vote, bemoaning the chance to establish some stability at the club..... Was this not the same man who sacked then poached Redknapp, and who poached then sacked Allen before the guy had a chance......?

Haha that would explain why he's not crying out to leave and join Megson then! Mandaric spins the media and the fans in these ways. He's always going on about the club being a family and the fans the most important thing etc etc but its just to get people on side so they don't question his decisions. To his credit, he's done very well this week. Yes!

I hope we've got some clause in the deal this time where you can't send him back!

Phew. and don't worry I'm sure MDV is in the treatroom room on a fastrack route to getting free from injury so we can ship him out to you again.

Apparently Leo Constantine (some bloke we signed.... ) and Flo are nearly ready so you may be able to keep 50p head. We'll keep hold of Kish though thanks!! So who has Milan misguidedly taken a fancy to now? *whistles*

So who has Milan misguidedly taken a fancy to now? *whistles* Oh, joy! Meh ok, keep him, he's not our future, he was never our past and I don't think I'd put him in our present either really. Heard a lot of rumours. The only ones to have thrown their hats into the ring are: Steve Walsh (ex player, bit of a legend here) Frank Burrows And presumably Gerry Taggart But alongside this I have heard of wild rumours that: Dowie will quit Cov on Monday and join us. Paul Jewell is interested (Mirror) Graeme Souness is Milan's top target (Mail) Rumour Sounesss was at the game today BBC RL said Nigel Worthington was at the game today. Rumour Mike Newell was at the game today. Other people who have been linked are: Simon Grayson Stuart Pearce Nigel Clough And the usual rest...Reid, Hoddle, Roeder et al. So basically could be anyone!
