In yet another helpful nugget from the club today, four candidates are apparently being interviewed for the vacant post at Leicester, but of course no names released. "Leicester City owner Milan Mandaric revealed he will this week speak to four candidates for the vacant manager's job at the Walkers Stadium. City have been without a manager since Martin Allen was sacked on 1 September, but Mandaric is hopeful he can make an appointment by the end of the week. He told BBC Radio Leicester: "We are working hard to bring in a manager and there is a shortlist of four people. "My goal is to make an appointment before Saturday's game against QPR." However, Mandaric added that the supporters may need to show some patience while the interviews are conducted. He added: "I hope the fans understand that our priority must be to make sure we employ the right man, with the right qualifications who will take the club where we want to go. "So, it may take a little bit longer." Peter Reid, Neil Warnock and Gary Megson are three names who have been linked with the Foxes hotseat. -------------------------------- Can't see anything happening before QPR somehow, and I'm not desperately impressed with any of the three mentioned here.

No but Kevin Keegan was apparently seen at the Walkers Stadium today. A much better, well more exciting option. Gordon Brown was also at the Walkers Stadium today 'supposedly' doing a citizen jury on crime.

Gary Megson is poised to take over as Leicester boss, BBC 5live understands. Megson, who twice achieved promotion to the Premier League with West Brom, will become Leicester's fifth manager since Craig Levein left in January 2006.
Club owner Milan Mandaric said earlier this week he would interview four candidates for the post, but Megson is thought to be his preferred choice.

Even on the basis of our sorry state I would not want Megson at the Den, this has to be a wind up. Especially with the resources available to Mandric. No ones mention Mike Newell!

Oh Gawd, press conference at 1pm and Gary Megson it is. And its not funny peeps! I am not happy and this only goes on to confirm the ludicrousness (if thats a word) of the Martin Allen decision. Absoultely nobody vaguely decent to replace him. Well, should be a tasty game against forest next season at least.
