Leicester City have signed Sunderland defender Clive Clarke and goalkeeper Marton Fulop on loan. Republic of Ireland international left-back Clarke, 27, moves to the Walkers Stadium on a three-month deal.
Hungary stopper Fulop, 24, will spend the entire season with City, and boss Martin Allen said: "He is a keeper I've tried on many occasions to get on loan.
"Clive has experience, a great appetite to play and has come for three months to prove he is good enough."
Clarke moved to Wearside last August after an unsuccessful year at West Ham, but made just four league appearances last term and had a spell on loan at Coventry.
Fulop joined the Black Cats last season as part of the deal which took Ben Alnwick to Tottenham, and has started five league games for them.

I know very little about Clarke, except to say that this doesn't really look like a team-changing signing, but I'll give the guy a chance.
I'm a little confused by Fulop. Call me naive but my understanding is that there is only ONE place for a goalkeeper in the starting eleven. We've got five keepers on our books now; Henderson, Douglas, Logan (on loan), Nielsen and now Fulop.
Perhaps this is a cunning strategy to stop us leaking goals by firmly planting several big blokes on the goal line.

Oh and just to put an end to the JFH business, the dutchman is having a medical at Cardiff this afternoon.

I'm a bit baffled by Fulop. If he felt we needed another goalkeeper (which we don't) then he may as well have kept Logan here all season. He can aptly do a job as either back up or first choice keeper. Clarke was at loan at Cov last season I think and did alright, plus we needed a left sided player. He'll do a job, though not too spectacularly. Fowler and Hasselbaink at Cardiff! Given their current financial issues.
