Latest odds to take the Championship outright next season:
Charlton 8-1 Wolverhampton 10-1 Sheff Utd 11-1 Watford 11-1 Southampton 13-1 Crystal Palace 21-1 Leicester City 21-1 Stoke 21-1 Preston 23-1 Sheff Wed 23-1 Cardiff 29-1 Coventry City 34-1 Ipswich 34-1 Norwich 34-1 Bristol City 51-1 Burnley 51-1 Colchester United FC 51-1 Plymouth 51-1 QPR 67-1 Hull 81-1
Leicester joint 6th - that's gotta be an improvement! Should be worth a flutter on a playoff place surely.

I think you'll make the playoffs, or close to
Am tempted to have a punt on Sheffield Wednesday, just got a feeling about them

Not sure how Wolves are second favourites - I guess they're banking on an instant impact with this new takeover business. Gonna need to bring in plenty of new faces though to come top!

Mick McCarthy did take a rather limited Sunderland side to the Championship title a few years ago, they may look at it from that point of view

How come there are only 20 teams by the way? No West Brom or Blackpool for a start off, and going by the way Blackpool played this season they have a chance of 'doing a Colchester' if not better

Just a gut feeling, no more basis than that! I'm not a bookie, but my point about Wolves was my assumption of how they arrived at their prediction

I'm with GT, I have a feeling about Sheff Wed, Brian Laws is a good manager and they finished strongly last season. I think West Brom will be top of the tree though.

So where will Norwich finish? I have no idea, will have to see who Grant brings in and offloads, mind you it will be his first full season so you never know, playoffs perhaps?

Yes, I've had that same feeling about Sheffield Wednesday which I posted on here about a month ago: dark horses for promotion next season ... Sheffield Wednesday The run they went on in the last few months of the season was promotion form. They only lost one game in the last... er... 14, I think it was.
