Cheer from a decent result in the East Midlands derby on Friday was short lived, following what Rob Kelly has called the "worst performance" since he took over, against Plymouth today:
"That's the worst performance since I have been in charge by a long way. "As a group we all let down our supporters who travelled down here today.
"In the end I will take the flak. I pick them, I am the manager, I prepare them so I will shoulder the responsibility.
"We are in a relegation scrap. We were in it before the game. I have believed it all along."
...Well someone certainly seems to have changed his tune, from telling everyone that it'll be alright all the time! Personally, I welcome this new level of honesty and realism, just as long as it is reflected by an improvement on the pitch.
Fair enough, we're all crying roll on next season at the moment for the effect of the Mandaric deal to kick in, but the whole "Premiership in 3 years" thing will be scuppered if we are relegated this year. Now I think we've probably done enough to be safe, but other teams at the wrong end of the table are starting to get important results and with a tough run of fixtures up to the end of the season, League One seems a million times closer than Premiership ambitions.

Your club brought a good-sized crowd of loyal, good-natured supporters today (as always), and Mr Kelly speaks the truth - the team did let them down. Your lot today were like ours were at Burnley - absolute rubbish. Hopefully you'll stay up (and you REALLY should!) and we'll do it all again next season (another 3-0 would be very much appreciated ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ) All the best.
