As fantastic as last night's result was, the euphoria is already fading away. D-Day is upon us, and at the time of posting this article, there's no news on the OS. Six and a half hours for a bidder to come in. Without that, the process of liquidisation to pay off the debts begins, starting with the sale of all our top players and promising stars, many of whom were in the shop window last night - I'm sure Brill will have caught a few managers' eyes, and Keith Keane was superb at right-back. Coyne's already in demand, I've little doubt Bell would get snapped up too, and rumours have been floating about regarding Spring as well. Once again, the spine of the squad will be ripped out. There've been plenty of well-wishers, and plenty of talk about potential buyers, but so far, there's been nothing concrete. Until there's an official announcement, I'm gonna be antsy today - let's hope 5pm brings the best news it can. I would also like to take this opportunity to say a big 'c*nts - fuck off ' to Tomlins, Mitchell and Bagehot, who came in as our "knights in shining armour" previously, before siphoning at least £13m out of the club and putting us in this position now. Never show your faces in our town again

This from the Trust in Luton website: So there's at least one party interested, who have got the backing of the supporters' groups Let's hope their offer's good enough for the administrators! Luton 2020! ;D

Look East had this as the main story, but they could report nothing new...

It'd be nice to hear if there had been any bids at all, just to set our minds at rest Still, I suppose no announcement means the administrators have something to look at instead of just coming out and saying, "Sorry, quick-fire sale!"

At the end, Look East said there'd been three bids. But that's the media.

At the end, Look East said there'd been three bids. But that's the media. The word going around Luton fans, based on the news on TV and the radio, is that there's been two bids with serious financial backing - one's made up of overseas investors, and the other (the one which has the 100% backing of the fan groups) is made up of 3-4 rich local businessmen, two of whom have apparently been season ticket holders for 30 years. As long as one of them's acceptable, the future's gonna be looking less gloomy!

hope one of them works out for you neko - Leeds have been in the realms of possible overseas bids. Alas none of them worked out for us, but i hope it's different for you guys

Right now, I'm more concerned with just getting anything!

This on BBC 606: I heard a rumour about Electrolux being interested in a takeover last season too, so there may be some substance in that... Would be interesting if that were the case; would certainly see our sponsorship deals covered for the next few years!

Despite the unkind words of Joe Kinnear back when we were both down in the bottom league, consider all forgiven and forgotten from this Argyle fan. We were where you are in the 80s and I seem to remember running to within 5 minutes of being wound up. No football club should ever be wound up, especially at times when money is pouring out of the walls in contemporary football. Good luck. I'll be checking for news through the day

Ah, yes... that battle for the top of then-Division 3 was one of the finer memories of our time down there, even if we did come off second best Credit to BFJ for building the core of the squad that Newell inherited and got us promoted with, but the man could really be an arse sometimes! ;D (BFJ, not New-... well, both really...) Here's hoping it's good news!
