... when i read in the St. Albans Review (my local paper) that Luton Town FC are going to start using my school playing fields for training... its not quite as bad as it sounds so read the detail which ive summarised below... My school shares its playing fields with the Old Boys club and the old boy club has a very posh pavilion etc. they have hosted several international matches such as the england women's six nations opener this year. The local rugby league club, St. Albans Centurions, used to play their home matches at "Woollams" (the name of the place) but they have had to move because they cant afford it. the article in the paper was about how they have managed to find a new ground to play at but added at the bottom of the article is this " Luton Town FC will now use Woollams as their training base"the section where they will be training is literally only 200 metres from the school pavilion/ pitches! as youve probs guessed i am not happy with this arrangement
