Ohh, for the love of-! AAFCSDVCAGYCJKAWCXPTHBMDRTLNFGVEASNVAC!!!! I mean, uhm... why are you wasting your time there? What a poor buy he'd be. Please take him off our hands! Okay, to answer seriously, he's tipped to be the next Curtis Davies. He's still learning, but is getting better every game and looks to be a bloody good prospect. If we lost him, it'd almost certainly guarantee relegation. Please don't take him

Sounds like one for the future Good too see we are planning ahead, him and Goldbourne (our other young guy we nabbed from the lower leagues) could be legendary ;D

Well, if he's one for the future, can't you let us keep him for now?

Hopefully Luton directors realise he is one for the future, too, Neko. I reckon one more season and he'll be worth 3 million, whereas now it'll only be about 1 mill.
Did you see WBA value Curtis at 10 million!! I wonder what our sell-on cut was negotiated at? Even 10% would be good (and would definately save Leon from any transfer)

"Newell dismisses Barnett talk Luton boss Mike Newell has revealed rival clubs' offers for Leon Barnett have been "nowhere near" his valuation of the young centre-back" From TeamTalkSounds good to me

Luton will not sell anymore of their classic players until the end of the season, and give them credit, the Hatters churn them out, year after year.

Luton will not sell anymore of their classic players until the end of the season, and give them credit, the Hatters churn them out, year after year. Bloody hope we don't I know - it's so frustrating! If the board were willing to take a risk, our young talent (after a few seasons' experience) could probably carry us at least into the play-offs. We've managed to sell 5 players for £9m, but keeping them could've potentially earned us a fortune! Buying low and selling high (Stevo, Nico, Edwards, Vine) is all well and good, but surely aiming higher would achieve more in the long run? Luton used to be an established top-flight/second tier (often bouncing between them) club for a reason!

Agreed Neko.
I just hope that WBA sell Curtis on, we must be in for a percentage of that and hopefully it could be £1 million.

Best vaguely realistic scenario: - Big Premiership club buys Davies as a talent for the future (cue cash influx for Luton) - Said club wants him to get experience on loan - Luton get him back for a season I'm allowed to dream, aren't I?

Yes, Neko, but you're way off in the clouds there matey Alternative realistic scenario #1:Curtis is signed by good Prem club for £8 million, Luton get 800K (I'm guessing here); so no need to sell Barnett Alternative realistic scenario #2:Barnett's knee injury is bad enough that he can't play until February, no Prem side will take a chance signing him in the transfer window; we keep him at least until the start of next season.

Even though I'm one of the opposition even I feel sorry at the fiasco at Kenilworth Road.
It has to be soul destroying to see yet another very talented player leave. If I was a vulture I'd take Kevin Foley as well. Calm & accomplished & better than our Doyley.
Heres a list of talent : Upson , Davies.C,Pembridge,Hartson , Taylor, Telfer, Davies Kelvin, Mackindoe. What a team that would be.
