Luton defender Sol Davis made a return to action for the first time since suffering a stroke. Davis played for 67 minutes and marked his return by scoring an own goal in the 1-1 draw with Northampton reserves. The 27-year-old suffered a stroke on the Luton team bus en route to the game at Ipswich on 28 October. Hatters boss Mike Newell told Luton's website: "At the moment his specialist is telling him to carry on and do whatever he wants to do." It was initially thought Davis could take up to six months to fully recover. He came through his first full training session earlier this week, making him available for Wednesday's reserve outing. *~*~*~*~*~* Own goal or not, I'm sure all concerned will agree this is fantastic news

Yep, great news Neko; at least the own goal showed he was trying to get involved in the game!!!

Either that or the stroke's got his feet mixed up in his mind I shouldn't joke about things like that, should I?

That's incredible news! Really felt sorry for the bloke and put a downer on that result. Shame about the own goal, but you've got to start again somewhere
