Former Norwich City midfielder Darel Russell has re-joined the Canaries in a £600,000 deal from Stoke City.
The 26-year-old, who left for the Britannia Stadium, has been brought in as a replacement for Dickson Etuhu, who left for Sunderland in a £1.5m deal in the summer.
Russell, who will wear the squad number 20, spent four seasons with Stoke but was coming into the final year of his contract and Potters' boss Tony Pulis did not want to lose the midfielder on a Bosman next summer.
Russell started 176 games for Stoke, scoring 16 times and admitted that he cannot wait to start working with manager Peter Grant, who he played alongside in his first spell at Carrow Road.
Grant has now made eight signings over the summer but is thought to still be on the lookout for a defender to boost the Canaries' back line.
