Leicester City have failed in a bid to sign Plymouth's veteran former Doncaster, QPR, Fulham and West Ham defender Rufus Brevett on loan.
The 36-year-old left-back was recently told he could leave Home Park, and was allowed to hold talks with Doncaster.
"Leicester rang up and wanted to take Rufus for a month," Argyle boss Tony Pulis told his club's website.
"But a month is no good for me or the club - if they want Rufus, they should take him for the rest of the season."
this is amazing, Pulis couldn't have put it any better if he tried!
