still running on adrenalin so I need to let my day out....
started work at 3pm, I have dealt with a lot of incidents including 7/7, but have never had a person under train (one under), so at 4pm I get a 2 under. 4 16 yr old youths are mucking about on the piccadilly line platforms when one knocks into another passenger, and they both go under the train. I get staff to evacuate the area, and the police/ambulance/fire brigade/recovery crews and numerous others decend on my station. I have to arrange for preservation of evidence, rooms for interviews, catering for all including all my staff who work through their meal breaks, and beyond the end of their duty, I also manage to keep the district line running as it is peak time, then I have to close of another chunk of my station, to let removal of casualty etc. during this time most of my staff get abuse, as people are more concerned about getting home than anything else, I also have to deal with a woman with a dislocated shoulder, a man hit in the leg with an iron bar, the station fire alarm going off, and the driver of the incident train who is in deep trauma.
so anyone who feels we get paid a lot for doing nothing, please understand why sometimes it is hard not to react to the tw*t who is moaning because he had to wait 4 minutes for a tube rather than 2.
and as to QPR, the 4 youths were arrested, and will probably be charged with manslaughter, or possibly murder, as the one who was in their group survived with massive injuries, while the innocent bystander died, when I left SOCO were still evidence gathering at the scene and the body (or what was left of it) had still not been removed 9 hours later. Apparently they were associated with QPR. I don't know if they are in the youth team or what. As there was tradgedy with the stabbing, this looks to be another one.
This is shocking and so saddening, RIP to those who died :-(
And another twist in our QPR soap opera!
I feel really really sad about this
After Kiyan Prince's tragedy, now this!
I just feel as if the QPR youth team is jinxed, it's so sad!
I know they should not have been mucking around but no one deserves this!
Harry Smart, a QPR under 18 player is in critical condition, fighting for his life with broke Legs, Arms, Pelvis... preety much everthing else!
Get well soon Harry,
RIP to the innocent man who was so tradgically killed and to all those who knew the victim and everyone else in anyway involved in this Saga!
