this sidders thing is really getting on my tits.... stop dragging it out man...commit or not... we want you to stay but we dont want to unsettle the whole team just to offer you a kings ransom we're not chelsea. the man either wants to be at a club where hes assured 1st team football, total fan admiration and a promising developing future.... or he can be a bit part player at a slightly bigger club just for more money.

Boo boys my ass. I have never heard one. Anyway if he goes I really hope it is abroad. Valencia are a massive club and at least I wont have to see him running round each week on MOTD for another Premiership club

But in other placers you read stuff like this and after I read it I thought those are not the words of a man who has decided to go! SkySportsPlus this just off our website - His contract Steve's contract runs out at the end of the season, and he is focused on maintaining his good form. "It's the same situation, we sat down in January to touch base. I'm just sitting tight, seeing what's out there. I'm not hurting anyone, I'm just doing what's best for me. "It doesn't mean I'm leaving or that I'm staying, I'm seeing what's out there. I'm lucky to have a manager that will play and believes in me. "It's good for me when I play well but it's good for the team. "That's the way the Club's looked it at, they're keeping me until the end of the season, I've got to play well to attract clubs and if I'm doing that then the team will be playing well too. It's the best of both worlds. "I've always said, whenever I'm in a Reading shirt I'll give 110%. There's some fans out there that will give me stick but performances like that will hopefully keep them quiet."

I was chatting to a Scottish mate earlier who has heard that Sidwell has said he will join Celtic only if Reading do not get into Europe. Apparently he does not want to play for another Prem team and they have offered him £25k a week and of course the promise of European football every season. If thats true its a bit of a shitter as I think Europe is too much too soon for us and if we dont get intoEurope he will piss off to Sweatyland!

The People - 8 February 2007 SIDWELL IS TOP OF JOSE'S SUMMER SHOPPING LIST By Alan Nixon CHELSEA boss Jose Mourinho wants to woo Reading midfield dynamo Steve Sidwell ... with 45 grand a week. Mourinho has been hugely impressed by Sidwell in his first full season in the Premiership. The champs are hoping they can tempt him this summer despite the fact that Sidwell would face a massive fight to get a game with the likes of Frank Lampard and Michael Ballack around. Manchester City, Middlesbrough and Celtic are also keen on the Reading star, who has so far failed to sign a new deal at the Madejski Stadium. The Chelsea move suggests that Mourinho is staying at Stamford Bridge. It also points to one of Chelsea's big-name midfielders - Lampard, Ballack or even Claude Makelele - leaving this summer. And it could be bad news for Lamina Diarra and Jon Obi Mikel. However, Mourinho likes to have options and signing free agent Sidwell would be relatively cheap, with just his contract demands to take care of. This cant be true surely?

F#CK OFF MAUREEN Have you heard about this young striker from Sw#ndon we're interested in too? Can't remember his name, it's Polish sounding but he is English. He's only 17 but apparently banging in goals all over the place.

We cant stand in the way of those teams I just hope he goes to Arsenal and not some mid table team that can offer him no more than us.

If he goes to a "big club" fair play to him, the lad is only trying to make the most out of his career and you can't argue with that. However, as you say, if he went somewhere like Villa, Man City or the like, I would be really disappointed with him.

Reading are aiming to take Bobby Zamora from West Ham at the end of the season. (People) This particular rumour keeps circling and it aint funny no more The ONLY positive thing in this is that Zamora is best mates with Sidwell and it might persuade him to stay.

Him and Siddy are very close did you see them both larging it up on WAGS Boutique? I hope they have been thinking they could play well in the same team etc etc. If Siddy stays off the back of Zamora coming I will be happy!
