I think it is a wise choice to leave it a season to see if Coppell can go some way to reproducing in the Prem what he has produced this season and if he does why the hell not.

We were meant to get a new tier on the City stand if we stayed up, that looks years off now. Madjeski should keep that sort of thing until you have actually stayed up.

Err no rason why not - they have the money but should wait until they have been in the Premier League a few years first. Last season the crowd v Leicester was 14 000 which would look extremely sparse in a 40 000 seater stadium.

We need to stay up longer than 1 season before we think about expanding. West Brom have come down, a wise man would put a fiver on Wigan coming down next season. Chimbonda and Roberts on their way out, Bullard already gone.

It looks like its going to happen! Friday 30th June 2006 12.50 Stadium expansion The Stadium was always built with the possibility of future expansion, and Nigel said that the maximum new capacity would be around the 40,000 mark. Reaching such a figure would take a number of years, with one stand likely to be done during each close season break. Nigel said, "If we stay up I will certainly be putting a proposal to the board to extend the stadium over a two to three year period." "The chances are we will try to work it so that at no time will we ever have fewer seats than we currently have. The first section will have to be done during the close season." The Stadium would be expanded by adding more rows to the back of each stand, with a new roof and new outer wall. Just need to stay up first.
