Wednesday v Norwich match will be starting at 3.15pm because it's the actual date of the Hillsborough disaster.

Do you think they should play on the anniversary? Its a difficult one morton. But the people who lost their lives on that day did it going to watch what they loved - football. I am sure if they had a say it would be to carry on. It gives the thousands of fans at the game a chance to show their respects.

i wonder what they're doing in the 15min delay??
Whenever i've heard this mentioned to Liverpool fans, they say no game should be played at hillsborough on the day of the anniversary

Whenever i've heard this mentioned to Liverpool fans, they say no game should be played at hillsborough on the day of the anniversary The people that matter - those that lost their lives - don't have a voice. So its difficult. However people choose to show respect will not be agreeable to everyone. But I feel that an empty stadium on the actual anniversary shows a lack of respect. People and football fans should not forget that dark day.

It's hard to comment on this subject because even a slightly mis-judged remark can open a huge can of worms. I do think games should be played on the anniversary- after all, it doesn't occur every season- and i expect that we will and should continue to acknowledge the disaster and show our respect to those who died.
I do wonder if it may affect some of the players (on both sides).

They should Morton yes. Its delayed not to coincide with the time the disaster started as it were. They were all football fans and as such wouldn't want a game stopped or moved because of it i believe. Its an emotive subject and I'm sure Liverpool fans wouldn't agree with me Admittedly i would feel a little strange being a Norwich fan in that end
