Well, what do you think? We Argyle fans are rather divided.

So are the Stoke fans, I think.
Did hear that the deal to sign Pulis Jnr has been put 'on hold' for some reason. Sign one, get one free?

I'd like him back... I think he's a quality manager... builds from the defence...

I am inspired by the attitudes of some Stoke posters on other sites that think WITH el 'Tone they are candidates for automatic promotion, and without him they will sink without a trace.
On the other hand, on the same site there are an equal amount of people that want him to sign a contract never to set foot in Stoke again.
I can't think of an Argyle manager who has had such equally divided loyalties, most have been almost universally loved or loathed.
Good luck in your quest for a manager though, Stokesies, and have a good season*.
*as long as you don't pinch any players, staff, or garden gnomes from Plymouth. We already cleared out our crap, and we like all the players we have left.

Well, whether you want him or not. It now looks like he's yours. A good, but rather negative, tactiction from my point of view. It'll be intresting to see what he can do with a bit of cash to splash. It was always the end of match comments: "well they had five subs on their bench worth more than the whole of our team", after the Wolves game, that always riled me. Not the sort of comments you would expect really. Best of luck. You won't be in relegation trouble, but I don't think you'll be pushing for a play-off place either as it's not his "style" of play.

Given a choice, I'd have had him stay at Argyle through fear of relegation. On the other hand I have rarely dithered so much before sending off for my season ticket. I'll take the compensation payment and Ian Holloway I think!
