An FA Cup History. Watford have been paired with 8 times finalists Wolves in the FA Cup for the 5th time in the history of the famous competition, when the 2 sides meet in January. 4 times winners Wolves have won the last 2 FA Cup meeting between the championship rivals - a comfortable 4-1 away win in 1992-93 and a 2-1 close replay victory at Molineux in 1980-81 after holding Graham Taylor`s Hornets to a 1-1 at the Vic. Well, at least the Watford showings were better than the 10-0 defeat they suffered in the 1912 tie against a Wolves side, who had already picked up the trophy twice before that encounter (in 1893 and 1908). Still, it`s not all bad news for the Aidy Boothroyd`s side. Second Division Watford saw off a top flight Wolves with a 3-0 win at Molineux in the 5th round during the 1979/80 season before being knocked out by Arsenal in the quarter finals. The last cup encounter in all competitions between the 2 championship rivals went the way of Watford when centre back Clarke Carlisle scored twice as the Hornets ran out 2-1 winners in the 2005/2006 League Cup third round. Tie to be played 26th/27th of January.

Michael Kightly is close to a return to action after suffering a recurrence of his ankle injury but won't be risked in the FA Cup game with Watford (BBC).

We made Wolves look like Argentina of 06 & Brazil 82 combined.
Disgraceful effort & more calls for the resignation of AB. Aside from Demerit & Smith .. Sadler was decent.
Ellington does look sharper though I suppose & Bangura did improve with more game time. Still no sign of Rinaldi even off the bench. The manager is useless & clueless.
Simpson is a prize wanker too.
Wish we had Keogh. Superb throughout.
Good luck in the next round. As for us midtable mediocrity if we are lucky. Nothing has changed.

What a bag of shit. We never wanted to win. Malkay in defence .. Lloyd had a mare.. Bang Bang and John-Joe as a CM pairing isn't working.. Priskin can't play unless it's played to his feet.. utter utter shite! Good luck in the next round Wolves.
