You guys are looking really good and might just run away with top spot, if you keep your consistency throughtout, second spot however is up for grabs i reckon with a possible four teams: Wolves. WBA, Charlton and maybe Southampton.

Enjoy year 1 chaps. You can truly muck about & miss lectures without much damage ! Do try avoid having to see the Dean which I had to do twice. Our game v Coventry is not much of a yardstick as the Sky Blues were terrible in every department. AJ is superb (better than Downing at the same age). Francis is ready for a return to the reserves & I cant wait. Mahon has been playing better but I would still like to see Rinaldi & Francis in or even O'Toole. The 18yo has shown a level of unflappability & maturity beyond his tender years & a true box o box player which we've lacked since the time of Richard Johnson or Alan Nielsen. Ian Joyce has signed after a trial. The giant American looks a real prospect despite being rejected by Millwall (lacked funds to sign him) .However it does put Loachs future in doubt a la Steve Simonsen. Tough game tonight v the Eagles under Warnock.

I fear for us here, taylor has left us in such a mess i think we could get tonked tonight But Warnock is brining in young kids for tonights game Bostock (15) Lee Hills (17) and new loan signing Songo (19) so im looking forward to seeing them. Especially Bostock, although at 15 i doubt he can even leaglly play.

I'm pretty sure Bostock cannot play Forza. Nonetheless I expect a very tIght game so no premature celebrating KH. Depends which Watford turns up .More often than not this season an underperforming one despite being in top spot.

Not really POG.
Its quite a flattering scoreline a smash & grab raid. We lost Demerit early which disrupted the defence.
We dominated from 10-30 minutes & had two chances off the line & KIng wasted a glorious chance to pull back to an unmarked Smith.
Then Stewart what a surprise, gifted an oppurtunity to Phillips & Lee instead of tipping over a speculative effort from Morrison allowed it to come off the underside of the bar.
Albrechtsen was left completely unmarked for a fre headr six yards out which knocked the fight out of us.
WBA are not great we pulled them this way & that before the first goal. But that happens in this league. Same at Leicester. We mwasted two simple chances before Leicester took charge after a goal out of a million from Hume.
Mind you we have not been greatat home.We were lucky against Southampton to get a win & Blackpool too.
We are good away from home because teams dont play behind the ball & we can get down & around them more easily & hitting a long ball does not mean we lose the ball as often.
Which leads me to my points I stated at the start of the season. Stewart & Mahon are weaknesses. Francis is coming back soon though.
But we need creativity & the ability to play a controlled passing game at home to opne up space at home games against sides who are just willing to sit.
Lee is not good enough too small. Plus Demerit is out for a month which exposes our weakness in defensive cover. Jackson is useless so we need to sign a loanee from the Premiership ie Rigott perhaps ?
However when we lost heavily last time we won five straight. We'll se how we react against Norwich.
To be honest WBA are not that great & Wolves are still the most inventive side along with Ipswich at home I have seen .
Kudos to Paul Robinson. He will always be a Watford boy & his ambition must surely be to return back home if we get promotion .

A fine example of football beating hoofball ;D Have to say much as it pains me to say it theres an element of truth in this. We did control the game up to 30 minutes but the goals knocked all the fight out of us. I would have though Aidy would have tried to implement a passing style at home for the reasons I mentioned & bring in the likes of Rinaldi & get rid of Mahon & Stewart. Thats why we brought in the Norwich first team coach Hunter (noticeable how the Canaries form has suffered in his absence) but there is no sign of it. The sole quality is in Johnson & O'Toole looks promising if raw. Priskin rarely gets the ball played to feet. However I'm guessing AB sees this style of football as best suited to getting out of this division. It was an abject performance 30-90 minutes but we must carry on being five points clear & look for some defensive cover as Shittu going to the ANC. Plus in January look for a couple of signings. There is still some £15M in the bank apparently for signings & ship out Kabba ,Stewart to LA. If you don't get promotion Baggies I reckon we will take Robbo back home. Shame he was not there instead of Stewart. That first goal would not have happenend.
