Watford striker Tamás Priskin joined an elite club of Hungarian striking legends by scoring in his fifth consecutive international match against Moldova in a Euro2008 qualifier in Budapest last Wednesday, March 28.
The 21-year-old netted the opener to hand manager Péter Várhidi a winning debut in his first competitive match in charge.
The record is held by Ferenc Puskás, who scored 19 goals in seven consecutive matches in 1949-1950.
'I was not motivated by the desire to score, but the will to win,' Priskin said afterwards.
'I am proud just to wear the national jersey. This is still the beginning of the road. We have to develop to become a really good team, because we can.
'I know that all series come to an end once, I will not score in every match, but I hope my impetus will last a while longer. But I wouldn't mind if my teammates score the goals at every match.'
I like Tamas, and I think given time, he'll develop into a decent goalscorer for us.

I said it from the time I first saw him he has real ability. Just need a sympathetic coach & tactical system that allows him to flourish.
Rinaldi & King would be ideal around him.

Agree with you Ovechkin8, & I remember you saying that on here when we signed him aswell. He hasn't been given enough opportunities with the first team this season, hopefully we'll see him fulfill his potential!
