Watford have signed sport scientist Mick Court from League One side Crewe as they prepare for life in the Premiership....
Court impressed Watford boss Adrian Boothroyd with his work at Gresty Road and he has decided to leave Crewe to link up with the Hornets.
Crewe boss Dario Gradi told his club's official website: "Mick is moving on to Watford and a chance to work for a Premiership club.
"He is an ambitious young man, and we wish him the best.
"He will be difficult to replace, because he is something of a trailblazer in his field, which is why Watford wanted him."
Another addition to the backroom staff at the Vic for AB, I think we may have a new god ;D

This is a good move, Crewe have a record of producing good players, David Platt, Dean Ashcroft to name but two, Lets just get behind the lad and give him some support.

I like this idea ! I wrote a letter to RL once upon a time commenting on how skill levels could be improved at teh junior level by repetitive effort much as in rugby union. It appears AB likes this sort of thinking. The number of goals from well delivered crosses was markedly up this season for instance. Hopefully Court will get to work with the Academy boys on this sort of thing so we get a better brand of mentally & technically equipped youngsters.
