Still a Watford player atm, i'd prefer to keep him awell. I'd prefer for Watford to keep him as well!! He's the type of player that'll give you 100% every game, but lacks any real quality. His work rate can't be faltered and as such is his style of play, he usually helps to create goals for other players. IF we were to replace him with someone better - then naturally I wouldn't mind him going. Don't you have loads of strikers anyway?

IF we were to replace him with someone better - then naturally I wouldn't mind him going. Don't you have loads of strikers anyway? We have quite a few 100%'ers at the club already. Nick Montgomery is their leader, he runs and runs all day in midfield but can't hit the simplest pass. We do have quite a few strikers, with Beattie, Stead and formally Hulse. I don't understand the logic of selling Hulse to sign Henderson, as either Beattie plays the target man role in matches and if he's not fit then Stead comes in as cover. If we needed to buy another striker then I would think we'd be looking at someone with pace, as we have so little of it in our side!! In reality thought for the last 4 season we've needed to buy in midfield, and nothing has changed!!

I can't see the point of us signing Henderson either. Already have Ebanks-Blake, Keogh, Iwelumo, Ward, and Vokes, not to mention Elliott still in the wings, albeit transfer listed.

Speculation in one of today's tabloids (the Mirror to be exact) is saying that although Martin O'Neill might have shelved his immediate plans to try and sign Wayne Hennessey he could return with a bid for the 'keeper at a latter date. Aston Villa look set to sign Brad Friedel, but as he is 37 he wont be around forever, in fact he is just a short-term solution, so the Mirror says that O'Neill will return with a £6m offer next summer in an attempt to lure him to the Premier League. But that is only if Wolves do not make it there anyway, in which case why would he need to move on. www.wolves.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=116498

Transfer listed midfielder Seyi Olofinjana, who was due to report back for pre-season training yesterday had already been back in training since the Thursday before to boost his fitness. The 28-year-old was given an extended break due to his International commitments with Nigeria over the summer, but in a bid to improve his fitness levels, he returned last week to step up his efforts. Unfortunately though he has been training alone at Compton, and this effort isn't for Wolves it is in an attempt to obtain his 'dream move' to the Premier League. Hull, Stoke and Wigan are all thought to be interested but as yet no official bids have been received, however manager Mick McCarthy last week said that he is already planning for life without him as his quality is good enough for the Premier League and he will honour his agreement to let him leave if a bid comes in. However McCarthy also said that he would have no hesitation in welcoming the Nigerian back into the fold at Wolves should the £3m rated star not move on, as is expected. www.wolves.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=116551

Wolves are not ruling out another move into the transfer market if the right player, hopefully a centre-back, comes up - but manager Mick McCarthy is fairly happy with what he has.
