Back page of E&S.
Not Lescott as everyone assumed its Carl Cort who Villa are chasing. Now theres a f(_)(king surprise!!!!!!
We, well me anyway, must know absolutely f(_)(K all about football if Carl Cort is playing like someone who is wanted by a Premiership club (crap one or not)

Yep. saw this on the E&S at lunchtime. Hopefully they'll take em both off our hands. £1million for Cort has been mentioned which will result in a £1million loss for the club but we rarely make any money on players so no change there.
I think we'd be lucky to get £2million for Lescott due to the poor season he's had.

Have you seen Cort play anything other than a worse version than Peter Crouch when he wasn't scoring. Fair enough he started well but since his injury he has been terrible. Looks like a lazy f(_)(ker, doesn't utilise his height (hardly ever jumps), has a 5hite 1st touch and isn't scoring anymore.

Fizz, did you also read the results of the E&S poll? Most of the voters want Ince in as manager.....I think he will make a good manager eventually BUT he's got zero experience of the job.... I maintain that Rob Kelly & Mike Stowell as no.2 would be my choice. Or even Kelly and Ince as no.2....

I don't think everyone who votes on these type of polls has a great knowledge of football.
Ince is unproven at management level but you get the feeling he could stir the players up more than the current manager does. I hope Ince stays in some capacity to further enhance players such as Davies.

I hope he stays as he could fill the creative/attacking midfield role behind the strikers, or go up front himself as we'll be short in that area by the looks of things! He'll probably have a decent World Cup though and be sold to another club... I think Ndah will be released as well. That'll leave Frankowski & Clarke....

well there letting the high earns off aint they? True, but maybe we'll look to hang on to a couple of high earners at least... With so many on the way out already so it seems, I'm sure we can stretch to a couple of relatively high earning players....For example, if Ince decides to give it another year. I'm sure he'd choose to stay at Wolves and he must be one of the highest earners at the club....

I hope Ince stays in some capacity to further enhance players such as Davies. i agree in principle fizz, however look at the managers we have had over the last few years, and the "proven" managers have mainly failed to produce. turner - not proven - got us up two years, but couldnt produce in championship taylor - "proven manager" managed at the highest level - failed to produce - admitedly maybe wasnt given enough time. mcghee - "proven manager" - got us to fa cup semi's and play-offs, but ultimately did fuck all for us. lee - did chuff all. jones - got us to the premier, then wasnt given the money. however did not look like getting us back to the top flight. hoddle - "proven manager" managed at the highest level - less said the better right now. i think ince could be a good manager, however will the new manager (supposing hoddle is not here next year) be given any money for players, even if he offloads the higher earners? i would actually like to see someone come to the club and get the team playing the basics well, get them playing as a TEAM. if that person is paul ince so be it. to be honest i really couldnt care who is manager, as long as they get the team playing well together and giving 100% commitment every match.
