I think we are going to see major change this close season, could be a good thing but I worry about the ability of our board to manage the transition.
Next Seasons realistic squad (not necessarily what I want or think we need). Those in Red may stay because they have a contract but if we can get rid of, we should.
Goalkeepers Murray and Oakes, this assumes that Murray is fully fit, I do not think we will sign Postma if Murray proves his fitness. Murray played for Tranmere on the 25th but not on Saturday, not a good sign. I assume that Oakes has a contract beyond this summer.
Full Backs Edwards, Clyde, McNamara and Naylor, I do not think we will sign Ross assuming that Clyde and McNamara recover.
Centre Backs Craddock(he must be near the end of his contract) Gypyes (if he recovers from injury). Thats it I think. We will need to buy a couple of CDs from the money for Lescott unless there are youngsters I do not know about.
Midfield Davies, Ricketts That it I think Ince will retire, Rosa is only on loan, we should dispose of Kennedy, Seol, Olifinjana, we will not extend Anderton. we need to buy a midfield especially wide players.
Strikers Cort, Frankowski, Clarke Miller will go, Ganea I think will go, I do not think we will get rid of Clarke.
Manager I think we will have a new manager by next season.
I do not think that this is a squad for promotion or even play offs, the loss of Lescott, Ince and Miller will take the backbone out of the team. I do not think we have the youngsters coming through. I do not think the board will buy, but if they do we need youngsters from lower leagues rather than premiership has beens and never quite made it.
My main worry is that we have people like Kennedy, Olifinjana, Seol, Cort on big money but we are unlikely to be able to move on, this will block any chance or buying or bringing through youngsters.
Your views please.

Just realised Red does not really work if you have changed your background colours to Orange (it is not really old gold)

i think we are really going to struggle to mount a challange next season unless, we buy very well in the summer, and with that dick moxey hanging around, i somehow don't think that is very likely!!!

Baring an amazing turn around.
Until we get another Sir Jack this is our last season we should expect to be a contender. We're not only going to have to cut the size of the squad we are going to have to cut what quality is apparently there.

Is that a bad thing though - What quality are we talking about out of the high earners: Kennedy - not a chance Cort - no f(_)(king way Ince - be retiring soon anyway Seol - will he ever be again? ? Olofinjana - has he ever been in the 1st place Ndah - makes no difference for the odd game he plays Lescott - 1 man doesn't make a team well not for us he doesn't Oakes/Postma/Murray - do we need all 3 Cameron - not coming back is he? Anderton - I will eat my own excrement if we keep him next season Take the majority of them off the payroll and we won't have to worry about the Lord Lucan parachute money will we.

corts just like Akinbiyi, the goal would just hit him and go in the back of the net

You cannot argue with his start to the season the amount he scored. He is no longer scoring and looks clumsy and gangly like Crouch. He was bought on against Wednesday a couple of weeks ago and equalised with a header form a corner. For me he has done f(_)(k all else since he returned from injury. If he fits into the "high earner" bracket which im quite sure he does, for me he can go .

but what is high earner to u?

I don't know the amounts they earn. I simply mean those players on the highest wages at Wolves and im sure Cort is in that category.

i think seol earns the most?

I agree about cutting our losses on the high earners but who is going to buy the likes of Kennedy, Cort, Seol and Olifinjana.
If we let them go on a free we wil have to pay up the rest of their contract as they will not walk out on the lucrative contracts they have. assuming that no one in the premiership is going to buy them then no other championship team is going to pay those sorts of wages for these players.
We could be stuck with them till the end of their contracts and I just cannot see us buying any real quality.

Good point - There are several coming to the end of their contract now although I don't know which players. I think Ndah is on a pay as you play type contract so theres one we can get rid of.
And for all the fat 8a5tards in the world that Moxey is I am sure he could sort out something for some of the others that means Wolves don't end up forking out to settle their contracts.

im going to be very intrested to see how everything is going to pan out, a big cut to the squad in the summer, hopefully we will get a manger in who will have the sense to offer cameron another contract. Lescott is gone. hopefully murray back to full fitness and playing well again. Defence: Naylor i guess, Mcnamara, Edwards,Gypes, craddock? awesome back line!!! LMAO
Midfield: Davies looks a good prospect for midfield, if kennedy is still here at the start of next season i will go on hunger strike outside the molinuex. Rosa should for the love of god be signed! Ince, but need a replacement, dont think he'll last the whole season. Seol maybe if he can regain his form? And cameron, if we let him go on a free it will be the biggest mistake we have ever made! Could maybe play Ross on the left wing?
Stirkers? erm Frankowski might find his scoring boots soon, well he better fukin do!! as for our second striker? Seol maybe? wasnt he originally bought as a striker? how about we try him in his position? wouldn't be a great loss to see Cort go, he's done fuck all to be honest. Just a bit of food for thought, dont see us cahllenging for the Premiership for a while though, back to the days of Mid-table medicority i fear!

Anyone heard thet rumour that Celtic are looking at taking Jackie Mac back - sincerely hope not As for the rest, Kennedy should be put out to pasture with Anderton, not sure we should take Ross on (unless it's for nothing & he don't get paid a lot), we should pull out all the stops to keep Rosa, get Mickey back from Millwall - Oh & a new manager would be nice cos I reckon the one we've got now will walk when we inevitably fail

The McNamara rumour was a punt from a scottish rag, no truth in it, I think Jackie may well be our captain next year, was Celtic captain when he was there.
I do not Ince will push it for another year, I do not think we should sign Ross he is no better than Edwards or Naylor. I would like to see Rosa sign but the fact he came on loan does not bode well. Cameron has already been told he can go, he is also 33 so not one for the future.
