Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle has paid tribute to 'flexible friend' Kenny Miller and admitted: "I didn't think he had it in him."
Hoddle has asked the Scotland international to play in five different positions for the team over the last six weeks and has been delighted with his contribution.
That included two separate roles in Saturday's victory over Cardiff, with the 26-year-old even starting the clash with the Bluebirds as a makeshift right wing back.
Hoddle praised Miller's attitude at taking a roving commission for the side and believes it is making him a better player.
"Kenny has been magnificent because in the last seven or eight games he's played in about five different positions for us and not once has he complained," said Hoddle.
"He's never once said 'I can't play there gaffer' or 'that's not my best position', he's just got on with it and he's been terrific.
"I think it's making him an all round better player. His approach to it all has been absolutely professional."
Fears were raised about the former Rangers striker's commitment to the Molineux cause when he signed a pre-contract agreement to cross the Glasgow divide and join Celtic in the summer.
But Hoddle's insists Miller's recent form, including a burst of three goals in his last five games, is proof that his impending move has not affected him.
And the former England coach believes the 10-goal forward's game has come on leaps and bounds since he first came to Molineux as manager in December 2004.
"When I first worked with Kenny I'm not so sure I could have imagined him playing in all these different roles," said Hoddle. "But he has done that.
"He's played behind the front two in a diamond, he's played left side or right side in a 4-3-3, he's played left side in a 4-4-2 and on Saturday he found himself as a right wing back.
"He took the bull by the horns and gone for it. His move to Celtic has not affected him one little bit."
