Only 5 days left!!! I'm feeling pretty bad about our new player being injured possibly seriously . I'm not convinced we can finish 1st or 2nd with the current sqaud and I think we need to make a few more signings. How are you feeling about the new season for your club now, it is in touching distance now, tell us here??

im thinking:
west brom birmingham leeds derby southampton coventry
saints have appaling away form, and draw too much at home to get anyway near the automatic places.

they are dark horses, like watford last year. i think with the addition of a decent striker and keeping players like camp, idiakez, barnes, smith, seth johnson etc they could be surprise and with the knowhow of billy davies... its possible

I know my last post on here was doomy and gloomy, but in truth, I've perked up a little now. I know pre-season friendlies aren't the best measure of how you'll do, but 13 goals in 2 games with none conceded isn't to be sniffed at when playing professional teams! Granted, that hardly says we'll storm the league (and I really don't expect that), but the fact we're actually getting the ball on target is a huge bonus now! Could the loss of Howard be a blessing in disguise?!

so when are people going to start the count down in minutes and seconds? Not people, just me and the answer; on the last day. Just heard we've signed Ian Westerlake, which is good, but Nicholls is injured for up to 3 months which is bad. I'm still excited but I'll be clearer once I see the season well and underway.

leicester.... suprise package?? I don't think so to be honest. I think the dark horses this year will be Coventry and Derby I think Coventry and Derby will both vastly improve this season, (we've already seen the start of Coventry's turn around in fortune in the back end of last season), but I don't think they'll manage to break into the play offs unless one of last years relegated sides screws up badly. I think Norwich and Southampton on the other hand will grab a play off place. Still, it's wide open, anything can happen but my pick for the top eight are the three relegated sides, Leeds, Southampton and Norwich. That said, as at least one of the three relegated sides usually finds themselves in the wilderness of mid-table first season down, who knows? Palace or Coventry might just slip in there.
