Leeds United have confirmed midfielder Bradley Johnson has been placed on the transfer list with immediate effect. It follows the announncement that that the player has refused the club's final offer of a new contract.
If an acceptable offer comes in he could leave the club during the January transfer window.
Leeds United's Shaun Harvey told the club website: "We are disappointed that Bradley has not accepted our offer, but we are pleased to be assured we can count on his 100 per cent commitment while ever he is a player at this club." Johnson has had a mixed season, recently scoring at both ends in the game against Hull City. Should Leeds receive an acceptable offer Johnson will be allowed to leave Elland Road in the January transfer window.
It seems strange that Bradley Johnson would demand more money from Ken Bates as there will only ever be one winner in that situation. It also seems unlikely that Johnson will walk into a side better than Leeds as his performances are frequently subject to criticism. It’s a sensible move to cash in on an average player, especially if he doesn’t really want to play for the club. Hopefully, should a sale go through, it will provide more funds to bring in a better replacement in January.
It seems as if most fans agree that it would be good to cash in on Bradley..... Will we regret Brad, moving on

Whites fans have turned against the midfielder, accusing him of greed, after he recently turned down a new contract offer and he was booed off the pitch when substituted in last Saturday's match against Crystal Palace.
Johnson, who has one year left on his contract, told the Yorkshire Post: "The booing was hard for me to take. I love the fans and want to be here.
"There has been a break down in communications with my contract and I want to get it sorted.
"They all want me to sign. Every day they are asking me what is happening, but it is down to my agent and to the club and hopefully it can be sorted."

"it is down to my agent and to the club" Bullshit - if you wanted to stay that badly, money wouldn't be such a sticking point, assuming you're not being offered non-league wages. If the agent's a problem, fire him and represent yourself - you've signed a contract once before, I'm sure you can do it again

"I love Leeds, I love the fans and I love the city and I want to be here. It’s not a case of I’ve turned down a deal because I don’t want to be here - I want equality.
"I’m not being greedy. I’m not asking to be the highest paid player at the club because I shouldn’t be. I just want equality." Bates accused the player of being disrespectful to chief executive Shaun Harvey by not showing up for planned contract talks but Johnson slated the club for trying to cut his representatives out of contract talks. "I was called on the day by the manager and told there was going to be a meeting at a certain time and I was called two hours prior to the meeting saying that I've got be there. "And I'd made plans. My parents were coming up from London, the snow is bad in Leeds and so I've had to go and pick them up from the station and said sorry I couldn't make it. "But I don't feel I should be going into meetings with the chairman, the manager and the chief exec. That's what I have got agents for and that's what every player has agents for. "I didn't feel like I had to go and see them by myself - to be cornered. That's what I've got agents for and their job is to do their best for me. My agents have been up here three times to see the chief exec but it hasn't worked out and now they've tried to get me on my own."
Brad next time you play score a Hatrick...funny how things change when the Kops behind you
