Applying for your tax disc online instead of queing up with your insurance, your MOT, your registration docs, standing behind some scroats collecting their benefits and putting money on the 'leccy' card. A morning wasted at the Post Office no more HOO-BLOODY-RA  |

Ah yes. Loads easier. Slightly scary how quick they can check your insurance, but so much easier...

What I would question is if they can pull all this information together to get your car tax how come they can't use it to find out whether a resgistered owner of a car has insurance or not? If the system flags up that they don't have insurance then they should be chased for it. That way I wouldn't be in the situation I'm in, having to go to court because the stupid bint who crashed into me didn't bothered to buy insurance.  |

I might suggest it to David Cameron and his 'I can't be bothered to think of a way of of the defict so I'll ask the public' suggestion box.
