Two games in, top of the league - can't ask for more than that! ;D Was a bit shocked to hear that Money didn't have Craddock in the squad because he's been approached by "a league club" and is demanding he be allowed to talk to them though The exact words didn't leave Money's lips, but it certainly sounds like 'tapping up' is afoot... It appears he's not a first choice striker this season (As MBH's hat-trick justifies!), so if he wants to move for first-team football, it's understandable. Am just surprised at how suddenly the news has come about!

Hi Neko. That's almost word-for-word what I was going to post ! I was at the first game of the season and we were worth much more than a 2-1 win; accurate passing and good tactics led to many good scoring opportunites, sadly the accuracy was missing, but I suspect it will come as the season progresses. Looking forward to a successful season

By the sound of things, we actually look like a team this year! (I'd have gone to the opener, but I was about 300 miles away at a convention I'd spent £250 on at the time ;D) At risking of jinxing it, I have high hopes this season - if we could make runners-up with the squad and bad start of last season, what can we do this time out? I'm probably as happy a Hatter as you right now! ;D

The reports suggest it was another good win for us.

I suppose we shouldn't get too carried away, mind... Looking at the table, our three opponents to date have managed one win between them so far, so we perhaps shouldn't read too much into it. Add Newport (tonight's opponents) to the mix, and it's still only one win between them!
That said, we can only beat the teams in front of us, and we're doing it better each time so far. Let's just not get complacent by the time the bigger boys come around!

I couldn't make it to the game Tuesday night, but I've seen the highlights. We had loads of chances and their 'keeper was in top form; a good save from Drury near the end.
We've got few games coming up soon against the higher up teams in the division, so that should show our true form.

Yup - the real tests are about to come.
Given our chances, a draw is a little disappointing, but we still ended up improving our position at the top. I'd also bet there isn't a single Luton fan who could honestly say they'd have said no to "10pts and a point clear at the top after four" a month ago!

Are you honestly saying you'd prefer Steve 'I'll Bankrupt Any Club I Touch, Possibly Criminally' Evans to get promotion than to have us one step closer to continuing our rivalry properly? People are gonna start saying MK Dungs are your rivals if you're not careful!

Continuing this thread; this time last season we were 11pts off top, so we're definitely improving Not sure that AFC are gonna have the squad to last the whole season, once the games (and injuries) are coming thick and fast, so it's maybe down to us and Crawley. We showed last season that we can put a final run together; can they, or will they do an Oxford?

Who ? ;D It'll be a long while before you are back in the Chumpionship albeit we might have come down a rung by then. Hence we have to enjoy the reserve fixtures...... Fancy our paths crossing at this time of the morning. Is Luton cut off from the rest of the world by snow ? Watford is covered to a depth of an inch. Now that I read up on Steve Evans I'd rather you went up than him. TAX DODGER !!!! All the best.

Steve Evans is among the least popular figures in the conference, it has to be said... I'm finding it interesting that Crawley are suddenly splashing out six-figure sums on players when they're only getting 1500 home crowds... Could be that they're literally going for a 'do or die' promotion push? As for snow in Luton; couldn't say - I'm in Nottingham this weekend! Barely one centimetre of the white stuff, and in true British fashion everyone's forgotten how to drive. Two prangs outside the house yesterday!
