Sheffield United have signed ex-Crystal Palace midfielder Johnny Ertl after his release by the Eagles at the end of last season.
The 27-year-old will officially sign a two-year deal with the Blades on July 1.
United boss Kevin Blackwell told the club's official website: "He's a good lad who can do a very solid job at right-back, central midfield and even at centre-half.
"He has played enough times in the Championship for me to know he can come in and do it for us here."

Happy with that. There are plenty of solid players about on the cheap or free and we need at least 3 more.

Apparently he's a tryer who lacks any quality...his recent experience of a relegation fight should come in handy.
