Malta striker Daniel Bogdanovic has agreed to join Sheffield United when his contract with South Yorkshire rivals Barnsley expires on June 30.
The 30-year-old, who scored 14 goals for the Tykes last season, has penned a two-year-deal with the Blades, who he has been talking to since the end of the Championship campaign.
"I am coming here for footballing reasons," said Bogdanovic. "I am not financially driven and I had better offers from other clubs but I chose United ahead of those clubs because of their potential and ambition.
"I am really looking forward with anticipation to the forthcoming season."
Bogdanovic, who spent his formative years playing in Malta, has also represented Cisco Roma and Lokomotiv Sofia.
He is United's first signing of the summer, with captain Chris Morgan and midfielder Nick Montgomery also penning new contracts.
