Fine. No problem with that, but does anybody else find it odd we're doing things like that without a manager?

Not really, they had stated before the offer had been made while mariner was still in post. the contract had been drawn up and the board had agreed it. If he has come back and agreed the terms why not sign him, I think he is a good development player and already has some strength.
I have heard that the manager shortlist is down to three and the second interviews are this week so we should know soon. Having said that this is Plymouth so we might know by august.
The four liklely names to narrow the three out of are Jewell, Burley, Coterill and Coleman according to sources and the bookies, However I heard a really worrying rumour yesterday that Bruce rioch may be on the list. I bloody hope not.

I would rather have sturrock back. And i would rather gouge out my eyes with rusty pins soaked in lemon juice than have sturrock back.

I can assure you lovely people that Bruce Rioch only crops up because a Geordie associate of mine made an 'anonymous' call to the Herald. As far as I know he is not in the running

I agree that, at just 20 and with loads of potential, it is a good signing. If we keep Reda we have all sorts of possibilities for the near future. It just made me wonder if there wasn't a figure in the shadows giving it the nod? If so, somebody under contract with another club?
