But surely, Mr Standramuca, if you stick around a bit it'll help encourage others to do the same, thus aiding in getting the numbers up?

We do come on...but what exactly has there been to mod lately? It's rare that threads make it past two pages these days. I tried resurrecting the Hotseat but that fizzled out again quite quickly. I was thinking about this the other day when I was reading the board. Maybe we should get rid of a few sub boards - ones that aren't even looked at nowadays like most of the ones in 'Off The Pitch' (obviously we wouldn't dream of getting rid of the Corridor ). Also, the 'Football News' board could possibly become a pinned thread in the Players Lounge? Facebook probably hasn't helped in the demise of posts and topics - didn't the Derby lot make a group on there and use that instead? With regards to more people posting - maybe I could send posters who used to be regular frequenters of the board an email to see if they'd think about returning? Phew! And Facebook just doesn't cut it. And I'll stand up for Jen who clearly regularly checks in whilst offering my wholehearted support for Neil...

I don't wish to be harsh but people will do what they want to do. Maybe this board's time has come...

Nice to see Tall Timber on here - Love Ya' Man & Hot Jenny as well very nice girl !!! ;D This board has another year of life at least, good to hear...let's make it exciting. I agree perhaps some of the unused areas can be taken away, keep the areas people generally congregate to thus making it less confusing for new members......*which I know we'll be getting soon enough*

Cheers J Which sub-boards were you thinking of deleting? I reckon the old guard might want some of their posts retained - I'd be sorry if the arts and literature board was slashed for example? Mainly the ones in Off The Pitch - quizzes, the predictions ones (unless someone wants to start it up again?), the betting shop. The Football News board doesn't seem to get used much - apart from the Ground Hopping one. Maybe we just need a big tidy up. But obviously if people want to keep these on the board, then they'll stay I'm not going to go ona big deleting rampage! Truthfully, it's probably worth dropping the betting shop - regardless of my own motivation to do it, there probably aren't enough regulars to make it a worthwhile contest anyway!

I don't wish to be harsh but people will do what they want to do. Maybe this board's time has come... And yet, with the exception of Facebook, it is the last place where those of us who frequented the old 606 and LNF know that we can still find each other. Facebook may be more dynamic, but it is the lack of dynamism which allows this board to function - a topic posted one day can still be easily commented on the next without having to wade through the pages of pointlessness that dominate so much of Facebook. Worth clinging on to, I think.

I used to love coming on here, difference is at that time, Derby were having one hell of a season ;D Huge numbers have left and nearly everyone I spoke to on here no longer come on, so I don't tend to come on. It would be good to get the same people back, some of them I haven't spoke to in ages and it would be nice to do so again.
If I have any ideas for the boards then I'll make sure I'll let you know

And I don't want to only hear from Argyle fans - I can get that easily on PASOTI; it is the cross football appeal that made this place thrive...

Same PASTIE, LNF was a good laugh, then this place was born and the best place to interact with other fans, now we need to liven it up again.
Sometimes I need to take a break from all the Derby chat on the DET forum

I think the old LNF faithful need to be targetted with a return to the boards, then back to promoting the place to the public once again when hopefully its back in business

Jen I think it's a great idea to reduce the boards down. Give us a place to talk nonesense and our own places to rant about football (get ready to move Wednesday to League 1). As Jules and I were discussing the other day 606 is like a comfy old pair of slippers that you just can't bear to part with.
