Blackwell could secure defender's return
Last updated: 13th January 2010
Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell would be interested in bringing Kyle Naughton back to Bramall Lane.
The talented young defender left the Blades to join Tottenham Hotspur as part of a £10million package along with Kyle Walker.
Walker was immediately loaned back to the South Yorkshire club where he has continued to flourish, but Naughton has only secured limited first-team action at White Hart Lane.
Blackwell confirmed he is in regular contact with Spurs counterpart Harry Redknapp and would be open to the possibility of Naughton returning.
One of us
He told the Sheffield Star: "We are always interested in signing good players and Kyle Naughton is certainly one of those.
"But any decision about his future will be taken by Harry Redknapp and Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
"I talk to Harry a lot because he likes to know how Kyle Walker is getting on and I'm interested in how Kyle Naughton is doing because he's one of us.
"We're two teams with obvious associations and who get on together well."
