So Just to Sum up: Bristol City FC, New Ashton Vale - Not Built and why would they need a 40,000+ seater stadium. Leeds United FC, Elland Road Stadium - F'ugly - Needs to be redeveloped
Tottenham Hotspur FC, New White Heart Lane (new build) or Olympic Stadium - neither are built
Milton Keynes Dons FC, StadiumMK - Absolute Joke, only picked due to its Transport Links to London and as London could only have 3 stadium - needs expanding.
New Stadium, Nottingham Forest FC - Not Built Plymouth Argyle FC, Home Park -Not Built and why would they need a 40,000 seater stadium. And how bloody hard is Plymouth to get too!
Sheffield Wednesday FC, Hillsborough - Most of the Ground needs to be sent to the scrapyard, looks like its stuck in the 70s - Who's going to pay for all their needed Ground improvements!? ------------
our bid has just become a joke.

Elland Road definitely needs development. The leg room is absolutely appalling.
I don't mind Hull not getting it to be honest, I wasn't bothered either way, but I am just thinking in comparison to Plymouth, as Mort has mentioned, how would they fill a 40,000 stadium? It's a nightmare to get to, I mean at least Hull has a major port which would work for Scandinavian countries, Holland and Belgium etc. City wouldn't fill a 40,000 seater stadium either admittedly, but I'm sure we'd get a bit closer to it with being a Championship/Premiership side.
Either way, Mawhinney is still a dick.

I don't know why Southampton didn't have a plan for hosting as back up for when P*mpey dropped out.
Surely we'd have got it.. half decent stadium, which can easily have it's capacity increased. Better fan base than Plymouth, Mk dons etc.
Decent location in terms of being a representative for the south (not out the way like Plymouth)

CANDIDATE HOST CITIES STADIA
Birmingham Stadium: Aston Villa FC, Villa Park Proposed Capacity - 47,300 - Small increase in capacity, a good stadium. Big city internationally known.
Bristol Stadium: Bristol City FC, New Ashton Vale (new build) Proposed Capacity - 44,000 - New build so will be a good stadium. Bristol is a good city and and the team could well fill it if the club get in to the Premier.
Leeds Stadium: Leeds United FC, Elland Road Stadium Proposed Capacity - 51,240 - Increased capacity and redevlopment and will be a good stadium. Leeds is obviously a big city and deserves its place in the selection.
Liverpool Stadium: Liverpool FC, Anfield Stadium (current or new build) Proposed Capacity - 44,000 (current) 72,334 (new build) - Even if the new ground isn't built, Anfield should have been selected. New stadiums are all very well, but it's nice to have some traditional grounds as well.
London Stadiums: Wembley Stadium Proposed Capacity - 90,000 - Great ground, enough said.
Arsenal FC, Emirates Stadium Proposed Capacity - 60,000 - Great ground, enough said.
Tottenham Hotspur FC, New White Heart Lane (new build) or Olympic Stadium Proposed Capacity - 58,000 or 66,995 respectively - Will both be good, large grounds.
Manchester StadiumS: Manchester United FC, Old Trafford Proposed Capacity - 75,979 - Second biggest after Wembley and if extended on the final side will actually exceed wembley at 95,000 capacity. Obvious choice.
Manchester City FC, City of Manchester Stadium Proposed Capacity - 47,717 - Good ground, fair choice.
Milton Keynes Stadium: Milton Keynes Dons FC, StadiumMK Proposed Capacity - 44,000 - Absolute joke. Town didn't even exist 50 years ago and MK Dons as a club are a fraud. Many better locations including Southampton or even Reading.
Newcastle Gateshead Stadium: Newcastle United FC, St James' Park Proposed Capacity - 52,409 - North East needs to represented and the ground is big and decent.
Nottingham Stadium: New Stadium, Nottingham Forest FC Proposed Capacity - 45,300 - Will be a cracking stadium and the East Midland's best city deserves it's selection.
Plymouth Stadium: Plymouth Argyle FC, Home Park Proposed Capacity - 43,874 - I understand the idea of spreading the venues, but this is silly. They average about 10,000 fans a week! What are they gonna do with the stadium after the World Cup?
Sheffield Stadium: Sheffield Wednesday FC, Hillsborough Proposed Capacity - 43,946 - Will be good to see this great old ground redeveloped. The true power house of Yorkshire football could rise again on the back of this decision.
Sunderland Stadium: Sunderland AFC, Stadium of Light Proposed Capacity - 48,707 - Good ground, good choice.

Errr it's already been agreed in the summer and we've got £22 million to refurbish the ground.
