Sawyer has turned down a new 2 year deal, his contract is up in the summer and I get the feeling he doesnt want to be playing in league 1 next year. Hopefully it is just that he wants more money, but I get the feeling that may not be the case. Also we have put in a £400,000 bid for bournemouth striker Brett Pitman. Could this be to replace Mackie when he goes to Derby???

No you know what it is Neil - he knows I am now no longer a single girl and he can't cope being in Plymouth knowing this!!!!! I think a lot will be off if League One is beckoning, can't blame them really but then again they need to get their arses in gear and prevent going into League One. If Mackie goes to Derby we are stuffed

I have also heard that Steve McClean is off to Hearts on a free. Some more inside information is that Rory Fallon rates him as the best striker at the club, but he has had such a massive falling out with Sturrock that he has refused to play for Sturrock ever again

I have to say folks that Neil is irritatingly accurate in his predictions.
What about this bloke at City that we are supposed to be after. Anything in that?
Sawyer will be a factor that takes us down - so long as we replace with a full back I have to say we have suffered greater losses. Mackie would be a real shame. Fallon's judgement of strikers may just be one of his many delusions...

Right straight from mister Sawyers mouth, the reason he has refused his new contract is they have offered him the lowest wages in the first team and he is not happy about it. To you or I that is still a stupid amount of money but wages one upmanship is playing a part. I think most players need to realise their next contract will be for lower salary, even more so in league 1

I agree. And after Sawyer's performance on Saturday coupled with a fair number almost as bad I say call his bluff, I'm afraid.

I dont thnk there is a player in our squad earning his inflated salary at the moment. I think Sturrock, aside from a few lucky scrapes is out of his depth this time round and I do not understand how the board can ignore the statistics of his performance as a manager. I for one am not seeing football as value for money at the moment and I am missing it. I have been going to HP all my life yet I have been twice since the begining of last season. Unless the attitude at the club changes I cannot justify £100 to go and watch a game. League 1 may be more affordable, as that is where we are heading unless things change.

Either way hes off on a free, which is going to cost Argyle massively..... As for value for money towards the football, I must admit Im not an Argyle supporter, but being from Plymouth I do follow them, and attend Home Park on a few occasions......however the only mate I have been too this season didn't cost me a penny, which was still too much for the shite I saw. I refuse to watch Argyle again until Sturrock goes

I have only been back to HP twice since STurrock returned and feel exactly the same way. My match day experience cost me £100 after travel etc. ANd frankly even though I love the greens, it is not value for money any more

If Hulse ends up going to Wolves (or should that be thrown to the Wolves? haha ) then it may seem likely we go for a replacement, if he doesn't i don't see it happening as we are supposed to be getting Vaughan back on loan from Everton plus there is talk of extending Dickov's loan, add to that we got Steve Davies and Chris Porter coming back and we still have Varney on loan at Sheff Wens (altho it seems they want Varney to stay) so getting in Mackie at this transfer window would make us top heavy in the attack area, still we'll soon see how it all pans out.
