These things still amaze me.
'Vocaloids' are characters created by Yamaha, with entirely synthesised voices. When using the software, you just type in the lyrics and the notes it should sing them in, and it sings for you. They were originally made to sing in Japanese, but even in English, they're stunning - especially when the difference in phonetics is considered. Each character even has its own voice.

Like I said, entirely synthesised voices - no human interaction expect for the initial programming.

I think it's an amazing bit of technology - and it's still in its infant years. I can't wait to see how it is once they refine it!

Another one from Kaito, this time singing 'Memory' from 'Cats' in Japanese.
I adore this. The programmer did a great job of putting it together properly, and his voice is so convincing. For such a relatively new technology, it's just incredible.
