everyone agrees that dear old Luggy was a wonderful friend and that it's terribly upsetting, but really, you know, it would be the kindest thing for him now....

And, if not, maybe the men in white coats could pitch up next Saturday and take the whole lot of us away for actually coming back for more. After the Sheffield Wednesday game I thought it couldn't get worse. In comparison that game was just like watching Brazil.

I agree with you PD, he has to go - he's not got the get up and go anymore and you can see its affecting the players on the pitch. He's not a well man and I think the club owe to him and to the fans to let him go - sorry Luggy

I think we're all agreed now. But he's determined to fight another day according to Sky Sports News...

Nothing from the club? No statement? Not even a vote of confidence? I find this very strange

Surely the dreaded vote of confidence would be the best thing for the fans right now?

I think prozac would be the best thing for the fans right now.

It was on Spotlight this evening that they are sticking with him - there are no plans to replace him yet... what the hell is in that man's contract keeping him there???

So they will be happy with league 1 then, nice. A fifth of the way through the season and no win is not good form. We need to win at least half of our remaining games now to guarantee safety.

I watched the game on Sunday, I have to say neither side offered much. Was nice to get the win but we won't be pulling up any trees (no pun intended) this season on that showing.
Best of luck for the rest of the season.

Cheers. It was truly an awful game. No disrespect but I look at the teams we have played - QPR, Wednesday, Watford and Cardiff as well as Forest - and only Cardiff looked any good at all. You'd look at them and think we'd have nothing to fear and lost all but one of them...

Congratulations my west country friend on a very good result . . . and a simple thank you will suffice for us playing our part in lifting you off the bottom of the table!

Thank you. I Sympathise with your pain at chucking a two goal lead. At least we are in touching distance of not being in the bottom three rather than cut completely adrift. I am just hoping that today is not just a stay of execution but the start of our season. Failing that, at least it makes Sturrock's successor a little easier.
