The 90-year-old club thought they had produced evidence that they would pay their petition debt to HM Revenue and Customs, but their bid failed. Hyde are 11th and their last result was a 2-1 win over Fleetwood on Saturday. A club statement read: "The board is taking legal advice on whether this decision can be overturned." *~*~*~*~*~* Bet they're not the last this season

Accrington are in real trouble too, and IIRC a few BSP clubs are living very precariously, following Setanta's collapse. Sad days for all concerned, really

Yeah On the one hand, no, I don't blame footballers for taking every penny they're offered; I would too, and I think that's what he was trying to get at. There's no way in hell they're worth anywhere near what they're actually getting paid, though, and leaving that bit out is what made his statement so cuntish
