Sheffield Wednesday will not be offering a new contract to their 34-year-old midfielder Steve Watson.
The former Aston Villa, Newcastle and Everton man has a hip problem and is being released with youngsters Sam Liversidge and Liam McMenamin.
The Championship side have also offered new contracts to defender Richard Hinds, midfielder Luke Boden and academy star Arron Jameson.
Former Wolves winger Michael Gray has also been offered a deal.Sad outcome. Big Stevie was a good player for us. I hope this isn't the end of his career full stop.

Nah he's had a long standing hip injury that's only allowed him to play a couple of games at a time.
