Robbie Keane hit two second half goals as the Republic of Ireland recovered from a deficit to beat Georgia 2-1 in their World Cup Qualifier at Croke Park.
The visitors took the lead in the opening minute and the home side needed the inspiration of their skipper late on, who netted a 73rd minute penalty before winning the game with a diving header five minutes later.
It keeps the Irish unbeaten during their qualification campaign, and takes them level with leaders Italy at the top of Group Eight.
Robbie said: "We gave away a silly goal but came back and deserved to win the game. We believe we are well capable of qualifying but we need to try to win games, and try to win games convincingly. It has been a great start, long may that continue."
It was also a memorable night for Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Adel Taarabt as both made their international debuts.
Left-back Benoit played 90 minutes for the Cameroon in their 3-1 friendly win over Guinea in Paris, while midfielder Adel came on as a second half substitute in Morocco's 0-0 home draw with Czech Republic.
Luka Modric and Vedran Corluka also experienced happy travels as Croatia defeated Romania 2-1 in an away friendly.
But it was a more forgettable night for Giovani Dos Santos as he and his Mexico side suffered a setback in their World Cup Qualification campaign after a 2-0 defeat at the hands of USA in Columbus.
Gareth Bale and Chris Gunter were also on the wrong end of a scoreline as Wales were defeated 1-0 by Poland in a friendly in Portugal.
Bale you are a fucking jinx, and there was only 487 fans watching the game
