Stephen Ward has emerged as a fresh doubt for Wolves’ big clash at Reading.
Ward, who has recovered from a cracked shoulder, gashed his shin in training yesterday and had to have stitches.
Boss Mick McCarthy said: “Wardy was due to be back, but he’s got a cut on his shin. It’s quite a nasty one but he spoke to the doctor last night and he said he’s OK. He’ll want to play.”
Chris Iwelumo should be fine despite coming off with an ankle injury during Saturday’s FA Cup defeat against Middlesbrough.
But goalkeeper Carl Ikeme is again troubled by his back and won’t travel.

I think we should play Vokes and SEB against Pikeys.
-------------Hennessey-------------------
Foley ----Stearman-----Shackell----Hill
Kightes ----Henry-------Jones ---- Jarvo
---------SEB -----------Vokes.
Collins, Keogh, Iwelumo, Reid, Quashie & Higgs on the bench.

Reading will be without right-back Liam Rosenior against Wolves and so Julian Kelly could make his first start.
Defender Andre Bikey is back from his own one-match ban but ankle ligament damage will keep him out.
New signing Nigel Quashie could make his debut for Wolves whilst Richard Stearman is available after suspension.
They also have Chris Iwelumo and Stephen Ward fit for what is likely to be a much-changed team from the one that faced Middlesbrough in the FA Cup.

Yeah hopefully we'll turn up this time round. With Birmingham slipping up, it could be a crucial night in the race for promotion.

Collins, Keogh, Iwelumo, Reid, Quashie & Higgs on the bench. If Ward is definitely fit, then he'll play. I reckon Collins will appear instead of Shackell and Keogh instead of Vokes. Vokes and Shackell to replace Keogh and Collins on the bench and Reid to drop out to have five players instead of six

Mick McCarthy takes Wolves to the Madejski Stadium insisting Reading are the best team in the Championship.
The Wolves boss claims Steve Coppell’s outfit are the side to beat, despite his own team holding a five-point lead over their second-placed opponents.
But McCarthy will be “raging” if his players weren’t determined to show them “the real Wolves.”
Wolves want to end a run of four league games without a win and are sniffing revenge, after the 3-0 defeat at Molineux in September.
McCarthy said: “They’re the best team in the league. The points tallies say we’re the best - and we are so far - but I think they’re the strongest team in the league.”
The Molineux chief has heartily endorsed his players’ desire to show Reading “the real Wolves” after that humbling Molineux setback.
He said: “I hope that’s the case. If I was a player, that would certainly be the case.”
But McCarthy is also insisting the Reading game is no ‘winner takes all’ contest. But he is admitting the clash could be pivotal to the destiny of both teams.
A Wolves victory would put them eight points clear, while a Reading victory would close the gap to two points. Birmingham can leapfrog Reading, but only if they beat Derby and Wolves win.
Asked if the game was pivotal, McCarthy said: “Whoever wins, we know the points difference. If we win, people – not us - will be saying we’ve got an unassailable lead.”

Am sure Wolves will still go up, McCarthy is an old hand at run ins. Plus Brum don't look too convincing. And anyway, I don't want another 5-1 drubbing at Molineux next season
