Bristol City boss Gary Johnson expects Cole Skuse to be fit.
The midfielder had to be withdrawn early in the second half against Portsmouth because to a back problem.
Wolves' on-loan winger Kyel Reid joins the squad but may have to settle for a place on the bench following Michael Kightly's midweek return to top form.
Kevin Foley is still doubtful with a hamstring problem, but Matt Jarvis, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Chris Iwelumo are likely to be recalled.
All three were rested in midweek as Championship leaders Wolves forgot their faltering league form to win 2-1 at neighbours Birmingham City in the FA Cup.
Wolves manager Mick McCarthy told BBC WM: "Ashton Gate is a tough place to go and play but it should be a good game.
"We'll both be trying to play football, that's for sure.
"It'll not be a 'crash, bang, wallop' game. It'll be 'get the ball down and pass it'."
COME ON WOLFIES, Break Mcindoes Legs! ;D
