Sheffield Wednesday have announced the appointment of Howard Wilkinson on a non-paid football advisory role. Former Leeds boss Wilkinson, 65, was one of the Owls' most successful ever managers and will help the club's drive for fresh investment. "I am very pleased to be working with Sheffield Wednesday in a formal capacity once again," said Wilkinson. "I'm keen to help the club's board implement changes which will see the Owls flourish again." Wednesday manager Brian Laws told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I welcome this appointment. Howard has a wealth of knowledge that can only help us move forward. "He will not be involved in first-team affairs but he can help us get the infrastructure right." Wilkinson will continue in his role as chairman of the League Managers Association. One of the most successful yes....one of the most boring periods of football for Sheffield Wednesday..that as well!!

Is this gonna really be good for Laws. The fact that he had to declare that Wilkinson will not be involved in first team affairs indicates suspicion on his part.
