Watford are our bogey team. We can never beat them so I'll go for 2-2.

The first goal will be scored by a wayward shot from a Watford player heading out for a throw-in but the ref will signal a goal.

Reading didn't even have to try which makes it more worryign and they did not play very well either. Which makes our performance even worse than it was. At the end shameful lack of effort, pride and fight. Loach at fault for three but did well otherwise. Goal four. Hansen could have written a thesis on it. Utterly appalling positioning of the centre backs . Demerit has the physique of a Sunday League footballer at present. Zero threat into the box. Smith quiet. Harley at left back was missing. Priskin precious little service. Cork, Willo(when not taking corner)and Jenkins (his defensive qualities showed as Reading scored three) all did well. Cork picked out some super passes as we held sway for about ten minutes. He and Hoyte must be wondering what they have let themselves in for. Urgently required: Centre back who can head, run and tackle . Apply to the following address c/o Brendan Rogers. Vicarage Road etc etc.... Shameful effort and effort is the least a fan demands.

I thought the people on Sky were being too complimentary to Watford. Lots of possession, absolutely no clear cut chances and some very poor goals to concede from their view. Neat in the middle third, but that's no use to any team trying to win points and Brendan Rodgers has a lot of work to do.
As for us, efficient and ruthless. We can't always play impressive, high tempo stylish football. However we seemed to win 4-0 almost in second gear. That's a very good thing when you're chasing promotion. Defense was solid, didn't give Watford a sniff.
